CIMAC NMA Austria is THE expert network of the Austrian large engine industry.

As a representative link to the international expert network CIMAC, NMA Austria reflects the entire value chain of the large engine industry. The 12 member companies represent more than 11.000 employees with a total annual turnover of more than 3 billion EUR.

Based on climate-neutral large engines, CIMAC NMA Austria represents an essential component of the energy transition and plays a key role in the field of renewable energies. In combination with decentralized energy systems such as wind energy and photovoltaics, electricity, hydrogen and natural gas networks, climate-neutral large engines enable a future sustainable energy and transport infrastructure. The digitalization of these applications and networking with other forms of energy generation forms the basis for cross-sector system optimizations.

We aim to be the technical counterpart for politics and society when it comes to questions, discussions and advice on the role of large engine applications in today’s and tomorrow’s energy and transportation landscape.

CIMAC is a worldwide non-profit association consisting of National Member Associations, National Member Groups and Corporate Members in 26 countries in America, Asia and Europe. It brings together manufacturers of diesel and gas engines and gas turbines, users such as shipowners, utilities and rail operators and also suppliers, oil companies, classification societies and scientists.

CIMAC NMA Austria is one of 15 National Member Association (NMA) of the global CIMAC organization and fully committed to the national and EU goals of decarbonizing our energy systems. We already play an important role in creating CO2-neutral solutions and aim to play an even stronger role in the future.
